Obituary for Ronald Phillip Titlebaum

Ronald Phillip Titlebaum, “Ronny”, “Uncle Ronny”, “Ron”, and “Papa” to his grandchildren, 73, of Danvers, MA died December 8, 2013 at the Kaplan Family Hospice House in Danvers.
Ron was born May 31, 1940 in Dorchester, MA. He was predeceased by his parents Dora & David Titlebaum and his two brothers, Elliot (Ellen) and Edward (Barbara) Titlebaum. He married Cynthia Gershfield on November 28, 1965 in Medford, MA. In 1957 he graduated from Roxbury Memorial High School and went on to receive his degree in Chemical Engineering from Northeastern University in1964 and his Masters Degree in 1965.
Ron was an Executive at United Shoe Machinery, Dynapert/Black and Decker in Beverly and was an avid volunteer and proud former President of the United Ostomy Association. Golf became a passion in his retirement years, and he spent many happy days on the golf course where “Ron’s Rules” were imposed.
He is survived by his loving wife of 48 years, Cynthia, along with three daughters: Michelle DeBaker of Litchfield, NH, Lynn Burns of Danvers, MA, and Debbi Dikan of Topsfield, MA; three loving son in laws, Paul DeBaker, Garrett Burns, and Michael Dikan, along with six loving grandchildren; Emily and Ethan DeBaker, Zachary and Hannah Burns, and Gabby and Tanner Dikan. Ron is also survived by four nephews and two nieces; Henry, Michael (Catherine) and Howard (Nancy) Titlebaum, Stacey (Brian) Dratch, Lumina (Rene) Cordova, and Ace (Tally) Gershfield whom he loved as a son.
He measured his success in the happiness of his family and friends and recalled many amazing stories from his life time.
Funeral services at the Goldman Funeral Chapel 174 Ferry Street (off Rte 60), MALDEN on Tuesday December 10 at 10:00AM. Interment to follow at Sons of Jacob (aka Temple Shalom) Cemetery, Buxton Road in Danvers.In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting donations be made to the Kaplan Family Hospice House in Danvers or to a cancer charity of your choice.Shiva will be observed at the home of Lynn & Garrett Burns Tuesday thru Thursday from 1-4 & 6-8PM.
