KAHAN- Erica (Moser)
76, Entered Eternal Rest at home on May 18, 2017 18, 2017. Born in London, England, she came to Boston 1961 on a vacation and remained. She had been a resident of Andover for 50 years. Mrs. Kahan was a Clinical Social worker, having earned BS in Social Work at Salem State College and her M.S.W. degree from the University of Connecticut. She was employed for more than 20 years with Arbour Counseling of Lawrence and Haverhill. Mrs. Kahan was also instrumental in the passing of Massachusetts Special Education Law 766, which guarantees the right of all special needs students to an education. She is survived by her husband S. David, Kahan whom she married in 1963; her children Jeremy & his wife Andrea Kahan, Elisa Kahan and Pamela Kahan; her grandchildren Aaron and Jayden Kahan; and her brother Paul Moser. Services will be held at Temple Emanuel 7 Haggetts Pond Road Andover on Monday, May 22 at 11:00 AM. Interment in Sharon. Condolence calls may be made at her late residence Monday & Tuesday 4-8PM. In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy in her memory may be made to the charity of one’s choice.
