Condolence From: Marcia Berry
Condolence: I always looked forward to Phyllis' visits to Chicago with Marcie and Rick. We shared so many interests -- especially around social justice issues and developing the potential of young people. Our conversations were always lively, fun and stimulating as well as loving and warm. My heart goes out to Judy and Joel, Rick and Marcie and all the family. We will hold you in our thoughts and prayers.

Condolence: I knew Phyllis when we were young girls. We enjoyed each others company. She was interesting and well read and funny. We laughed a lot together. She was a wonderful friend.

My condolences to the family.

Condolence From: Alison Marx
Condolence: Dear Judy and Rickie, Sending you and your families heartfelt condolences. I have such warm and special memories of your mom, and can hear her hearty and infectious laugh even now. I'll always recall her exuberance and wit at those Teaneck women's group gatherings, as well as her kindness and affectionate teasing. She was a strong, smart, fun and wonderful influence on our family, and she will always have a special place in my heart. How lucky we all were to have such an amazing group of role models and matriarchs in our lives - we will carry their impact with us forever. I'm thinking of you all, and sending much love. Condolence From: Tim Marx
Condolence: Dear Judy and "Rickie" and your entire families,
Your Mom was so very very special to our Marx family. And loved deeply. Phyllis was a central and beloved member of that remarkable group of incredibly smart and opinionated Teaneck moms who were the heart and soul of their families. The Winthrop Road crew of Phyllis, our Mom Hilda and Leah, along with Selma, Sylvia, Naomi and others - they all molded us with the values of respect for learning and being quality people. With my wife Nan and with brother Jon and sister Alison, we send you all our very best. Your Mom was a great friend to us all and a wonderful wonderful influence in our lives. With much love, Tim Max
